    How to read these dates

    NVC updates these dates once a week. They cover immediate relative, family preference and employment preference cases only, not diversity visas, special immigrant visas, K visas or adoption cases.

    If your date is on or before the one shown and you have not heard from NVC, NVC asks you to contact it through its Public Inquiry Form. Send another inquiry only once the published response time has passed: NVC says duplicate inquiries slow its replies.

    Once NVC has your fees and documents and finds the case documentarily complete, the embassy's interview scheduling month applies.
